The Editors

The series editor and volume editors of the Blackwell Philosophy and Pop Culture series are a diverse group of academics who are equally passionate about philosophy and the world of pop culture. They represent a wide array of disciplines--from philosophy to history to economics--and bring their expertise to each volume.

Series Editor

William Irwin is a professor of philosophy at King’s College. He originated the philosophy and popular culture genre of books as coeditor of the best-selling The Simpsons and Philosophy and has overseen recent titles including House and Philosophy, Heroes and Philosophy, and Twilight and Philosophy.

Volume Editors

Robert Arp is a postdoctoral research associate through the National Center for Biomedical Ontology at the University at Buffalo, and edited South Park and Philosophy and coedited Batman and Philosophy.

Michel S. Beaulieu is an assistant professor of history at Lakehead University. He is the co-editor of Final Fantasy and Philosophy.

Jason P. Blahuta is an associate professor of philosophy at Lakehead University and the co-editor of Final Fantasy and Philosophy. He has contributed to Battlestar Galactica and Philosophy and Terminator and Philosophy.

Richard Brown is an assistant professor at LaGuardia Community College’s Philosophy and Critical Thinking Program in New York City. He is the co-editor of Terminator and Philosophy.

Richard Brian Davis edited Alice in Wonderland and Philosophy.

Kevin S. Decker is an assistant professor of philosophy at Eastern Washington University. He coedited Star Wars and Philosophy, Star Trek and Philosophy, and Terminator and Philosophy.

Jason Holt is Assistant Professor at Acadia University. He is the author of Blindsight and the Nature of Consciousness. He edited The Daily Show and Philosophy.

Rebecca Housel coedited X-Men and Philosophy and Twilight and Philosophy. A former professor of English and popular culture in western New York, she now serves on editorial advisory boards for the Journal of Popular Culture and the Journal of American Culture. Also an author of middle-grade fiction, she is currently working on a new young adult novel.

David Kyle Johnson is an assistant professor of philosophy at King’s College. He has contributed to several books in the Blackwell Philosophy and Pop Culture series, including Family Guy and Philosophy and The Office and Philosophy. He is the editor of Heroes and Philosophy.

Sharon Kaye is Associate Professor of Philosophy at John Carroll University. She is the author of On Ockham with co-author Robert Martin and On Augustine with co-author Paul Thomson.  She is the editor of Lost and Philosophy.

Mark D. White is a professor in the Department of Political Science, Economics, and Philosophy at the College of Staten Island/CUNY. He edited Watchmen and Philosophy and co-edited Batman and Philosophy.
